Hi I've got a king keg with a S30 valve and just bought a 240g Co2 cannister but it won't screw on.Will I need an adapter and if so which type please?

What type of cannister have you bought?

The S30 valve only accepts the Hambleton Bard S30 cannister, that to confuse matters is now refilled by Brewgas as the L30 cannister. However, 240g of gas seems to be the right amount a S30 cannister would hold.

If you have the correct cannister, do you have the correct S30 valve or is it the piercing pin valve for the disposable 8g bulbs and 16g bulbs?

Could you post some pictures?

As I woke up at 3:00am and can not get back to sleep.....

The cap valve is is of the piercing pin type for the 8g & 16g bulbs. It is possible that if you remove the O ring visible in your first picture inside the top of the valve that the piercing pin can be removed. Replace the o ring afterwards!

I could be wrong as I have only seen the piercing pin type for sale, as I use the S30 type only. You may have to replace the valve.

Let me know how you get on.
