I'm not an AG brewer, and have no intention to be (yet,) so efficiency hasn't even really crossed my mind and I'm not really interested in carrying out tests to see. What I would like to know is what efficiency I could roughly expect from a simple single infusion using a large saucepan and insulating with tea towels (very professional methods you see.) I'm talking a ballpark range just so I can dump it on the calc and get a rough idea of how much this will affect the ABV. It's not of major importance because the brews I do are probably like 85% extract :)

Thanks!

it all depends how you rinse the grain to extract the sugars from it. You could use a program like beersmith or beer engine to work out your efficiency
