I started this brew on Friday evening, and after getting the FV to the correct temp and volume I opened the yeast sachet and started adding it, unfortunately I was distracted by the tennis and I missed the bucket with some of the yeast. Having a couple of kits waiting to be brewed, I borrowed a yeast sachet from one of them and added what I thought was the quantity I had missed the bucket with, maybe being slightly generous. The bucket is now bubbling away quite vigorously, and has been doing that for 48 hours. Have I created a problem?

Should be fine ... rest easy...

+1 to the above.

Even if you only managed to get half the packet in, it might take a bit longer but the yeast will eventually multiply. Your brew is safe.

I need not have worried, an excellent ale which I will certainly be trying again. I put a few bottles in storage along with the Brewferm Christmas ale for later consumption, the rest I will continue to enjoy now.
