To swap it for a John Guest 3/8" x 1/4BSP Outlet Adapter.

Unless there is another way to attach the gas out ?

Hopefully some pictures will help explain what I mean...

This is the regulator

Here is the valve that I think I want to remove (to the left)

And here is the JG adapter that I want to fit

Hopefully this makes sense ?

A little aside....try not to use oils or greases on gas valves, even non flammables .We are told that friction can ignite them .

Back on subject ,this NOT being a fuel gas it should have a normal R hand thread so could you not find a normal compression type fitting to mate the two ? Or a welding supplier will be able to sell you a hose barb fitting to fit onto the reg.....

Wrong adaptor!

You need (from memory) an adaptor with a 3/8" female thread. I picked up one from a local pnuematics shop that goes to 10mm air line, which works with normal beer gas line perfectly.

EDIT: I have the same regulator by the way.

Hmmm, looks like I didn't do enough research before buying then !

Thanks for the tips guys, now to find the correct adapter from somewhere.

Cheers.

Quick look on ebay, would this be what I'm looking for james ?

Looks like the right one to me. I'm 99% sure it's a 3/8" thread... and the lawson site advertises 3/8" accessories to go with the regulator.
