Im just bottling my Wilkos Mexican Cerveza and looking to start an ale next.

Im looking for a kit which is a golden ale, similar to Moorehouses Blond Witch or similar golden/light ales.

can anyone recommend anything?

cheers

A Sunbeam would probably be quite close, but I think they use american C hops for the nose - so it might be worth buying some cascade/citra/centennial hops and dry hopping a little too

I think you will struggle to get a kit for that - In fact, reading the reviews of that beer I reckon brew a coopers Australian Pale Ale but with a Citra/Simcoe hop tea in just before bottling (robably 10g of each, or 20g of citra in a cafietere of boiling water for 20 mins, then plunge the plunger and add the liquid to the brew).

That should get you reasonably close. 100g of hops shouldn't set you back more than £5 inc shipping and you will have enough for at least 5 brews, so it's only going to cost an extra quid, and will make a dramatic difference.

i guess it doesnt have to be a indentikit, just something along the same lines, something quite easy going and light to drink.

thanks for the answers so far

Agree with kinleycat, wilkos golden ale is superb. Made three batches now and everyone of them was top notch.

I've got a wilko golden ale on the go now. Haven't tried it yet as its still fermenting but it smells amazing!

For me,It has to be the betterbrew IPA.Its in a bag but dont let that put you off.I allways add Eighther a muntons or coopers enhancer and a jar of basic honey. You wont regret it brother.
