HAHAHA yup! That's not a bar, that's a "Man Crèche". You think she's being really nice letting you sit there on your own with several decent ales to sample but no, it's a distraction technique while she depletes your credit limit...

Haha....... well to drag me shopping she has to get me past the real ale bar first! ;) hopefully by the time I get out I wont care that shes dragging me out shopping!!

Not sure you get to go, just your bank balance...

Shes welcome to my bank card! Its bill week so there will literally be naff all on it! ;) looks like she's getting the beers in!

You seriously think she will let you stay in the bar whilst she goes shopping :nono: :nono: :nono:

Womens brains don't work like that you cannot be having pleasure whilst she is pleasuring herself shopping.

Anyway have you not thought that she want's you to take her to buy a ...................um...................

GREAT BIG F*CKOFF ENGAGEMENT RING

Sorry lads if that offended any of you, but he needs to know..

I don't want to pee on your hopes but if you are refering to the Eaton Hotel and Canalside bar i'm afraid the bar is closed at the moment (and wasn't actually that good anyway)

However... as I live in Chester I can point you in the right direction and...
You are 100m up the road for Cellar Bar, and 250m from the Old Harkers Arms (down on the Canal) which are both very good ale pub/bars. And alternatively there is Kash Bar which is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel along City Road past the station, which is a very decent brewpub (and is the kind patron of our homebrew club!).

Enjoy!

And as Darcey says, the Pied Bull (and the Brewery Tap and Cross Keys) are more in the shopping area of the City Centre and are worth a visit!

Its the mill hotel it thats any help? However, before I heard it had a bar a friends pointed me to the place of another one is it the brewery tap? However cheers for the reccomendations, I shall try and pop into them too!

And fyi........shes dropped a few hints about engagement! Still a while off yet in my eyes! ;)

I really appreciate threads like this, they remind me of one of the many reasons why I love my wife :)

The last half dozen trips away we have planned have included sources of good beer, and she's the one planning, and paying for, the holidays :D

I must admit she is a good'un. When my hobbies consist of mountian biking, photography, snowboarding, tropical fishkeeping and now brewing and considering ive spent thousands on it all she does well to put up with me!!

Ah yes, always forget that one as it's on the other side of the Canal! It is 'ok', nothing spectacular though.
Add 200m to all the distances oth my other post and it's all about right.

Cheers!
