Not sure if anyone had given this a try before but my recipe is as follows
Just under 4.5L tescos every day value apple juice
200g sugar
Approx 150g fresh raspberries
Youngs wine yeast (all I could get)
1 tbl spoon of yeast nutrient.

Brought about 1 1/2 litres of the apple juice to the boil and added the sugar and fresh washed raspberries and left to simmer for about 30 mins, this left the raspberries quite broken up and most of the colour drained out.
Left to cool in the demi john and topped up with the rest of the apple juice. I left all the bits of raspberry in to hopefully infuse more. I had a quick taste of the juice before adding the yeast and could defiantly taste the raspberries.
The starting SG was 1.054
I added yeast nutrient and the yeast. Fermentation seems to have started within the hour will leave for about 2 weeks (my house is quite cold) and then rack prior to bottling.

I have used tescos value apple juice for normal turbo cider and turned out well especially the longer I left it. Had a 4 month old bottle last night and seemed perfect just a real shame that was one of my last bottles.

Any comments or tips would be greatly appreciated this is the first cider I have really gone away from the norm but fancied giving it a go

that sounds nice, am starting my first attempt at cider this week using asda's apple juice so might see if I can find some raspberrys to top it up :D

This is mine, only been bottled a few days and clearing nicely.

750ml bottles back sweetened with 2 x Sweetex tabs and 6g sugar.

Almost ready to go in the shed now and really clear.

The clarity stands out next to the cloudy ginger beer.

It's looking good I'm going to rack mine tomorrow and leave to batch mature for about a month. What process did you do to make ur raspberry cider

12 litres of apple juice
440ml Lowicz Raspberry Syrup
Topped up to 17 litres with cold water.

Sachet cider yeast.

Similar to my recipe, although I don't water mine down.

22L apple juice
3 bottles of Lowicz
2 weeks primary, as long as you can secondary.
2tsp Super wine yeast
5tsp yeast nutrient

Turned out lovely, although VERY strong. Next time I brew it i'll only be chucking in 2 bottles of lowicz.

Cheers has anyone tried using fresh raspberries may have to try another batch using syrup to see the difference

Too expensive for me to use personally. I reckon you would need to use a LOT of raspberries to get enough flavour for a good sized batch. The syrup stuff is really good IMO, goes fairly dry but the fruit flavour is amazing.

Turned out at 4.6% which is plenty strong enough for our Doris!!

you might need more raspberries, about a pound of fruit per gallon is what I used for my melolmel (actually, more than a pound of fruit is recommended for melomels but fruit is expensive! Frozen fruit can be cheaper) but not sure if the same applies to cider. You'll probably get a better flavour if you add them to secondary for a couple of weeks. I have just used the polish raspberry syrup for TC, and it works well, Im just about to rack off a two gallon batch. It would be interesting to do a fruity batch and see what the taste comparison is like!

i have just started a gallon of this with 250g of fresh raspberries and no added sugar will see how it turns out, smells lovely.

Just about to bottle the Morello Cherry TC.
It's crystal clear and just about down to 1000.

15L Apple Juice
1L of Morello Cherry Purée
4L water
1 teaspoon Yeast Nutrient.
1 Sachet Cider Yeast.
It's got the sourness of cherrys but not as prominent as the raspberry version.
Next time (I've got a lychee purée to use) I will miss out the water and add more Apple Juice.

STRONG lol. I would recommend leaving out the grape juice that I used here. I would also go with 2 bottles of lowicz rather than 3. Totally up to yourself though.

You can drink it in that time but it wont be anywhere near its best. 1-6 months is the general maturing recommendation depending on what you are brewing. Imo wine needs at least 3 months.
