Thanks for the info much appreciatedOrdinary sugar (sucrose) will raise the ABV, but it will make for a “thinner” pint.
I recommend extra dry malt extract (dextrose) which will not only raise the ABV but retain the taste.
However, think on a bit! Higher ABV usually means a longer time conditioning and you could use that time getting another brew on!!

Thanks for taking time to responedLess water is an other option. The advantages are that you'll keep the ratio of hops to malt the same and also will not require extra yeast or other ingredients.
