Making some turbo cider, started on Wednesday. Apple juice, black tea etc. All was going really well after 24 hours LOADS of bubble through airlock. However now very little. I have read on other posts people have shaken the demijohn to start fermentation again. Any ideas? This has sat at steady 19% for four days now. I intend to let this stay under airlock for a month before bottling.
Should I just leave it now?

Any ideas would be great thanks

more info needed. what juice (amount of sugar), type of yeast (how much added) , what size is the batch?

it might have just about finished. did you take a hydro reading?

After the first 4 days they do slow down quite a lot. Doubt it's near finished yet though.
Since you're planning on leaving it under airlock anyway, just leave it.
If it clears, or at say 20 days, you could rack it but the trub won't cause problems if you can't be bothered.

This was about 4 litres of mixed juices - both budget and cloudy, all longlife. One sachet wilko all purpose wine yeast,
I boiled some honey and cloves, star anise and cinnamon in some juice at the start and put everything together when cool - 19 degrees
It was 1050 on start.
I will top up with more juice tomorrow and take a hydro reading again before - so from the posts above this looks all OK - many thanks. This is a really great forum! People have said how home brewing has moved on since my Dad used to do it and I am SURE the shared knowledge immediately available on forums like this have had a lot to do with it. Thanks guys!

It probably won't ever clear with the cloudy juices in it, so give it at least 2 weeks (total, it's had 4? days already) then check with a hydrometer (if you have one). If you reckon it's done (might need another week), rack it and leave it alone as long as you can before necking it.
