putting beer into pressure keg....

hi, ive previously asked about doing this, to make sure im doing it right, but just thought to ask, once i put the beer in the pressure barrel and have primed it, do i then use a co2 whatsit ( forgotten name) and empty this into the barrel/keg, or do i wait until the beer has done its secondary fermentation???.....

You can put a little CO2 in to purge the airspace, but normally the pressure is built up during conditioning from the priming sugars.

Just let it carbonate naturally.

checked the fg today and it was still the same at 1010, so i kegged it, there was a lot of bits still floating around in the beer, so tried to pass it through a wine starainer, but after every litre or so it clogged. so i just let it go straight into the barrel, hopefully it will settle narurally.... if not it was only a cheap kit... not that i want to waste it of course....
