Pleased to meet you. The zine I had in mind was Punk Shocker from Newcastle, so you were not far off the mark. Could the Clint that put out that ES 7" be a bloke from OZ that used to live in London? Is that record still available and where could I get one? I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for that split-LP as well. I was corresponding with Ed Wicked Witch for a bit in the 90's when I was running a distro but it's been over 10 years since the last time we were in touch...

And what's this Station comp album? Know the venue by reputation but this one's gone under my radar. A recent release?

Clint was in london yes , hes got one of our song titles "f*ck thrash noize" on his head , tattooed . I dont know where the single is available from but its awful , we gatecrashed a conflict gig (a weekly occurence) and got up when they finished and played with their kit - the sound engineer kept turning mics off so its very patchy . Notwithstanding the fact that we were deliberately as bad as possible to start with . Clint is on facebook under various names , sometimes Clint Chapman , sometimes Clint Middleastwood , another of our song titles .

Ed is the guy who is putting out the split but I havent spoken for a while so I dont know whats happened about that , he had all my tapes and old paperwork, so.....dunno !

The station comp release I only know of as people from russia and japan have been in touch with me saying they heard our tracks on it . Where available , what format , when....again , dunno ! Probably Scruff would know .

Forgot to reply to this, apologies... Must be the Clint I met in London then. He was sharing a house with this bloke called Chris + his girlfriend and they kindly put us up when we were touring England and played in London over a decade ago. Funny that you should mention the head tattoo - somehow I ended up having a brief discussion with him about those and he solemnly proclaimed he wouldn't want to have his name tattooed on his forehead for the fear of ending up running around with "c*nt" on the parade spot, he he...

Hope the split-LP will come about. That Station album seems to be a bit of a mystery.

interesting some of the stuff that's come up here :p hahah.

cheers for the recommendations...my love of BR has been revived somewhat! plus all of the old american punk stuff, dead kennedys etc...awesome.

this song has one of the best verses i've ever heard! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZtx__Jn2GU

"Can someone tell these kids liking the rain no longer counts as an idiosyncrasy.
In fact, I think that Rupert Holmes wrote a song about it in the '70s.
And consequently, he also saved the Pina Colada industry."
