hi everyone,
just getting all the bits and pieces together for my new garage brewery. The plan is to have the HLT mounted fairly high, feeding the mash tun and to pump the wort into the copper, and from the copper by gravity into the FV. I've bought a Totton GP 28/11 pump on e-bay and I was just wondering does the pump need to be cleaned after each brew and if so does it need to be stripped down or can it just be flushed through with a bleach cleaning soloution?

You can simply run very hot water through the pump to clean it immediately after use, however if in doubt, or after a length of time, a recirc with a cleaning solution will suffice, personally I use caustic soda.
