Added one of these to my last MM order on impulse.
Flipping brilliant, should have got one years ago... makes a really good clean cut: far better (and safer) than using a Stanley knife or side cutters.

Yep, had one of these in my toolkit for cutting hydraulic brake lines on bikes. They make the job simple and produce an excellent clean cut

Using the right tool makes any job so much easier. I use this pipe cutter and it works really well - effortless, clean, square cuts. £7 from Wickes.

To be honest TETB, I'm shocked that a man like yourself didn't already have one!
It's a must have in the toolbox.

The only thing I don't like about mine is that the part at the other end for pulling back the collar on a John Guest fitting is slightly too small for the 3/8 line.
For some reason, I always struggle to disconnect JG fittings (although I try not to have to too often).

I agree about the ‘fork’ at the other end being a bit small for a 3/8” fitting… I just opened mine up a bit with a file

I picked up a John Guest inspired pipe cutter for cheap on ebay, works well but it’s very clunky. Subsequently saw the Malt Miller one, I do like the prongs on the back end for releasing tubing.

I got one of these. Blooming sharpe. Nearly cut my finger off the first time I tried to close it up one handed makes cutting so easy.
