Problem with finings

I have a problem with finings I've added 10ml as it says per gallon

Some sediment has settled but there's loads of dust looking stuff all the way through it

What sort of finings, and how long since you added them?

It's Ritchies one and I added it 2 days ago.

You need to give it a bit more time. You could also try to put it somewhere cooler.

Is the wine degassed properly? If not that can stop it clearing properly. Also, as bobsbeer says, put it somewhere cooler and give it a bit more time.

Personally I use Kwick Clear finnings and they generally completely clear my wines in 2-3 days.

Is it too late to degas now the finings have already been added?

Nope. You can still degas it. I generally fine mine several shakes over a couple of hours or so. When you degas it, it will mix the sediment back into the wine but the finnings will drop all that out again.

If the sediment looks a bit stuck then degassing is the way forward, if it's falling i wouldnt worry about it. Just give it time. I've had a few thats cleared by day three, others have taken a week or two.
