Pressure barrell caps for CO2

Ive brought a 40 pint barrell that has a S30 valve on the cap but the cap is cracked....can i get a replacement cap on its on rather than having to fork out 13-14 quid on the cap and valve??

Yeah you can get the spare lids with a hole for the valve, my local home brew shop sells them. Just did a quick google search for youngs pressure barrel spares and found this one online have a look here
You might have to shop around to get the best deal, hope this helps mate

Result thanks so much fella!! was thinking i was gonna have to fork out another 13ish quid which would have then made the barrell i brought not very cost effective! as its was off ebay!!

No worries mate, never used that company so don't know how much p&p will be but like I say they are out there you might just need to shop around to get the best price. Did have a quick look on forum sponsors but couldn't see any :hmm:

Cheers.. Out if interest what do u brew this will be my first attempt was for a wherry kit to start with?

The Wherry is good I've done that quite a few times, but personally i really like the Nelsons revenge which is also made by Woodfordes it's only a 36 pint kit but it's a great pint :thumb:
Also all of the St Peters kits are very good and if you're looking at 1 can kits the Coopers range are nice beers but by the time you add on the cost of extra malt they're not much cheaper than a premium 2 can kit
