Hello all I gave been reading through the suck fermentation in the faq an would like some advice on what I should do next. I have a coopers wheat beer on and it has been in the fv for 12 days now and is stuck at 1019 mark I gave is a stir a dew day ago and still nothing, what can I do now :?: .
I mixed the kit with a can of the coopers wheat liquid and pitched the yeast after a good stir, it all kicked off really well but it isn't doing anything.
I did notice in the trial jar there user bubbles in the beer.
Last question how long will the beer be ok in the fv?
Many thanks in advance :D

I wouldn't leave it in the fermenter more than a couple of weeks as for the gravity you might just have to bottle as it is. Take a hydrometer reading daily and if its the same for 2 days straight you can assume its finished fermenting so bottle

Thanks for your reply. so how will the abv be worked out or will it just be a very low alcohol level?
So how long can i get away with in the FV? Would adding anything to the fv help at all?
Many thanks again

Give it a GENTLY stir with a sterilized long handled spoon. By gentle I mean no splashing or adding oxygen to it. Then try and make sure it is being kept at 18-20c or so and hopefully you will see a restart of activity in less than 24 hours.

If you DON'T see any activity, you can pitch another packet of yeast (not sure what dry can be used for a wheat beer :wha: ) and hope for the best.

You should be fine with your brew in the FV for another 2 weeks or so (probably even longer), but it will definitely not take that long.

Right here is c couple of pics taken today in the trial jar

Now this looks rather clear for a wheat beer.

so at the mo its 3.26%abv not very strong but drinkable you could try adding more yeast and give it a stir see if it will go any lower but if not you may just have to bottle it

Muntons have obviously not given you a wheat beer yeast as that yeast is WAY too flocculant for a wheat beer!

Have you stirred it, etc?

Hey everyone thanks for all your help on this one. Well i added some yeast and gave it a stir and today there was no movement still so i have bottled it this morning so i have my fingers crossed it will turn out ok, so thanks again.
