Hi all,

Im ready to bottle my magnum strawberry cider ive had on the go, but how much sugar do i put in the 750ml grolsch style bottles? too much i guess they will burst and too little and it will be flat!

Im really sure you really clever experienced brewers will know,

Thank you very much

Tim

p.s. does it actually taste better left or drunk straight away?? thanks all

Usual guideline is about half a tsp to the 500ml / pint bottle for ales, rising to 1 tsp for lager, with cider anywhere between the two.

1 tsp to your 750ml bottles would probably be about right, and I understand that the swing-top bottles are slightly safer than crowns as the cap and washer can act as a pressure relief safety.
