Probably been asked....instead of priming my plastic pb with dextrose and waiting for it to carb as normal,can I leave out the dextrose and prime it with co2 through the pin valve?
 
If you want flat beer yes. If you actually want to carb your beer no. The pressure barrels can't hold enough pressure to force carbonate the beer. If you add co2 to a pressure barrels without suger/dextrose it will protect the beer from oxygen but won't absorb into the beer. If you want to force carb you will need a corny. All this is theoretical for me as I don't have cornys but I do use the PB's a lot.
