Plans so far...

Brewing Q1
St Peters RRA on at the moment.
Turbo Cider for the summer (fingers crossed we get one!)
Ginger Beer for the summer (toes crossed too...)
Better Brew IPA

Brewing Q2
Brewferm Christmas
Woodfordes Wherry

I'm not yet geared up for mashing so I'm sticking with kits for now.

I want to add:
A decent (two can?) pilsner.
strong belgian style for a good long condition,
a barley wine type thing too.
Also a good strong ale - something akin to Hobgoblin maybe?
And finally something like an 80/-

Oh, and any other kits that have blown your socks off

Your recomendations for kits and mods will be most gratefully received!

Thanks

C

I have the Breferm Diablo tucked away for Christmas, tasted one at the weekend and boy it's strong! Any of the Brewferm brews will condition nicely in the bottle for christmas drinking

I'm not doing kits anymore but the Brewferm Grand Cru was a good kit...needs a good long time in the bottle to taste good but worth the wait and came in at 8.4%

for your stronger Ale I'd go Woodfordes again, either the Admiral's Reserve (really liked this) or the Nelson's Revenge (not tried this but good reviews)

The Nelson is very good, my head was banging last friday morning from the stuff

I'm drinking an Admiral's at the mo and it is proper lovely. I'm trying to leave some of it alone for a bit to mature further rather than just wolfing the lot - which is really tempting!!

Nelson's sounds like it might fit the bill, and after the Admiral's can certainly be trusted to produce a good pint.

I had a look at the Grand Cru - if you were to compare it to a commercial Belgian...?
