The malt miller puts the best before date on the website so you know what you are buying,

I emailed Omega. Here is what they said.

That's very unfortunate. They should not be selling expired packs. Recently expired packs are one thing and perhaps at a discount they can still be used with a starter. But this is not anywhere near close to the expiration date. You should be able to request a refund from the shop. Good luck with that and thanks for letting me know. It's really not something we want our retailers to be doing.

It is the manufacture date, but the shelf life is 5 months meaning the use by date was October last year.

Think the lockdown is getting to me not only am I losing days it looks like years as well. I wish all these suppliers would print the use by date on the websites like MM. Some suppliers will offer out of date yeast at a cheaper price and can be used within a certain time, I have used about 6 months after the date stepping up.
