I used to serve him fuel at a garage i worked at 1978 proper old school and a really nice bloke with a wicked sense of humour

Great idea, however it will likely burn through the fuel a lot quicker due to pushing more air into the stove.

And blow ash dust everywhere.

I don't think you quite understand how an "air-tight" stove works. They are quite a different animal than an open hearth.
