Been through it once, on the way to Slack Top wargaming club. For my son, you understand, even though he can't join for another 2.5 years. I obviously have no personal interest in model extragalactic soldiery. No, that's not my ebay search string. Honest guv.

It is a gallon of wine, recipe called for a half gallon of nettles to make it with

No idea. I just take a gallon FV with me and stop picking when it's a bit over half full.

I overfilled the demi I put it in though. My first experience of stuff pushing up through the lock.

Now on its 3rd airlock and I'll be changing it again before bed tonight...
OK I overfilled the demi but it's foaming like Fairy Liquid!

Must have a go at nettle wine, never tried making it, but my uncle made it a few times many many years ago (t'was he who got me into homebrew many years ago :drunk: ).
I have a few empty dj's at mo, and know a spot local with loads of nettles ;) , will post on how it goes.

Just the top few leaves, the nice succulent ones, remember!

So you reckon the ones I sprayed with Path-Clear so they didn't sting when I was picking them might not be that good :wha:

Bottled it. Used sorbate+campden as I suspect it wasn't totally done, but I'm tidying round before going to Spain.
A pleasant white. Not sure what I can compare the flavour to, but it's nice, decent body etc.
Wondering how it'll age.
