Hi guys I am looking for a digital ph tester , can anybody suggest one for me please? Thanks

Yeah definitely looks like a good one . Just doing some research on it .

Unless you want to be super accurate a cheap ebay one will suffice I think I gave £6 for mine and it works fine and does not need calibrating every time. It comes with 2 packets of calibration solution to calibrate it, as I said mine is pretty accurate and hardly varies when I use the calibration solution but if you want to be accurate to 2 decimal points I am sure there is a reason that some are so expensive. You pays your money and takes your choice

I’ve bought a cheap one along the lines of this from Amazon and it’s crap:

Digital pH and TDS Meter Combo, 0.05ph High Accuracy pH Tester +/- 2% Readout Accuracy TDS Tester, Water Quality Tester for Household Drinking Water, Pool, Hydroponics, Aquarium Water https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B082Y5MLGN/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_kmEIFbHK40RXA

I calibrated it with the solutions it came with, but I can then stick it in a jar of tap water 3 times and get 3 different readings that vary by 1 or 2 ph which effectively renders it useless.

Don’t know if I’m doing anything wrong with it but I just don’t see how it can be useful with such a wide spread of readings on the same sample.

I’ve given up with it and will probably buy some thing better in future.

I spent about 60 quid on one but it stopped working aftervabout six months. Then I got one of those cheapos in luckys post above as a stop gap a year ago and it’s still going strong!

I have that Voltcraft meter and it's brilliant, but I also have one of the cheap yellow pH pens and as long as it's calibrated occasionally it reads very similar to the Voltcraft.
