My wife wanted to change her car and took a fancy to them, so we went and looked at the new version, like you say it was enormous after 2 mins we left.

Yeah, I'd not be buying a bentley for £5k. That's going to need some serious money spent on it.

Go follow Mat Armstrong on YouTube and see the kind of numbers that Bentleys can get you into. He's just spent over £100,000 getting one back on the road. And also Tavarish (also YT) who has had lots of fun with his Audi R8 (shares the same engine)

I loved my old defender, went through a lot together! 1995 swb clatterbox diesel county station wagon
Competitions, daily driver, tip run motor, you name it, it did it

Got rebuilt about 3 times in the 13 years I owned it and taught me a huge amount about vehicle mechanics and welding
Gutted I sold it as it would be worth a bloomin fortune now.

I also rated my Capri highly unfortunately it was only a 1.6L would have loved a 3.0L but they were too expensive to run as daily transport.

What was your favourite car back in the day?

This morning I saw an advert for a new capri (didn’t know it was coming out) what an abomination.
