Those, and putting normal sugar in a blender to make caster sugar has driven my roulade overheads right down.

My wife makes an amazing vegan meringue with chickpea water, cream of tartar and sugar. With Scottish strawberries and raspberries and whippable Oatly milk, it makes a superb Eton Mess and I'm not vegan or veggie.

They are superb, no stalks, ready to use and impart a ruby red colour to country wines.

I'm going to use these to make an 18% "port" with some elderberries for colour.

£2.49 a kilo, not too dear.
Very low sugar content with 3.6 per 80g.

I've used these a few times to make wine. Just be aware the strawberry flavour takes over and pretty much masks the flavour of the other berries. Not saying that's a bad thing just not sure it would be what you're looking for if you're going for a port.

I used a bag of these frozen fruit in my Forest Fruit TC, together with other ingredients. When I tasted the sample vessel, I did note that it was very fruity with the strawberry being more prominent than the raspberries or blackberries, but I don't see that as a negative. ABV a very healthy 7.15%!

Not sure how it would work in a port, though?
