I'm trying to clean some old demijohns that I inherited some time ago, there are a few "patches" that my normal cleaning isn't removing, any recommendations?
So I'd normally use Astonish Oxyclean and StarSan (or alternative). We're in a very hard water area. I've tried an overnight soak, I've got a whip thingy with cloth strips that I attach to a drill, but all of that hasn't removed, it's reduced but not removed the "stains" on the glass. Bottle and demi-john brushes aren't any good either.
I've tried some ChemClean as well but that's having no effect. So I've tried alkali and acid in normal concentrations, plus oxy-cleaning.
