Dont like Guinness either - totally overrated, the poor Irish had to put up with it for years, I understand things have improved now somewhat.
I thought i read here it used to be a decent pint then went downhill not too many years ago.

I think part of the problem is the insistence on it being served ice cold, it basically renders it tasteless if you leave it to warm up a little I reckon it improves a fair bit, still an average stout but perfectly drinkable.I thought i read here it used to be a decent pint then went downhill not too many years ago.
NEIPA should be low to medium bitterness and high in hop aroma and flavor !!Hazy IPA's just don't do it for me and find them quite bitter.
Wheat beers, smooth (nitro beers), anything contaminated with fruit or lactose.I just wonder what beer styles or individual beers you find overrated.
Mine would be NEIPA's which I find cloudy and flat.
I don't think that is a style !Anyone ever had an overrated homebrew?
The OP did say style or individual beer?I don't think that is a style !
Woodford Wherry. Absolute pish.Anyone ever had an overrated homebrew?
Now that is a can of wormsThe OP did say style or individual beer?
Just struck me there are alot of gripes with commercial beers but no one mentioned HB.
I thought folks may have been disappointed with a hyped recipe or kit??
Wasn't expecting any naming and shamingNow that is a can of worms
A mate of mine made a wherry as his first ever HB and I was really surprised how good it was, but on the other hand the only batch I've ever drainpoured was a cwtch kit which I know is well rated. Probs all down to freshness and quality rather than style or recipe, like most of the commercial beers mentioned.Woodford Wherry. Absolute pish.

When I was growing up (in a small town), it had a certain foreign exotic appeal when compared to Carling or Fosters. But yeah, it's a crap beer.Stella
I don’t understand it’s popularity at all

Each, as they say, to their own. To me it's just so uninspiring and flavourless.i always thought that was a very popular kit with members here.
