No I did on my old ACE, it works but you have to set more than one schedule. The Eff was massive so threw out my figures so next time just reduced the grainbill

Gordon's alive.

Hm, it seems to me that mixing milled grist with water and keeping it for a whole night between 20° and 30° looks like a biological disaster waiting to happen.

Are you doing an overnight step mash or a single temp? If a step then I would programme in all the steps, let it run through until the step prior to mash out and hit Pause. Leave it there overnight and hit Start when I woke up for it to heat up to mash out temp. By the time I’ve had a coffee and a wash it would be time to lift the grain basket, sparge (if sparging) and run the boil.

I currently use 5 steps to get an full 12h offset.

7pm Press start run away
Two steps to burn time @20c
Protein rest @52c
Mash @65 or whatever
Mash out @72
7am ready to boil.

I return coffee in hand.
Grain out, lid on and nip off for breakfast. Back in time for first hops.

Works very well on a BM. But on a GF controller ?
