Hmm, let me think.
Cycling & maintainence. A long way from cycle club performance, but a bit faster than the vicar on his Pashley.

Lego - Its mine, the kids are not having it. I even have folders of the original instructions

Attempting to volunteer at a local 'living' museum with my daughter - this is something new I am trying.

Online mmorpg - specifically runescape as I've played it on/off for years. Currently back to playing it after a 3 year break

Oh & I got some old RC boat models/motors & bits in the roof that I should get rid of at some point.
Runescape, thats where dad of jon came from, I had a few 99's and a full set of dragon. did the quests. How is falador thesedays? - ive not visited for about 10 years.

Back to a venue which used to produce some good bags of fish including roach to 1.5 kg. There were some fish deaths a few years ago due to lack of oxygen in the water. Fished the pole on Monday in 1.5 metres of water for some small roach and an English perch. Went back today and caught a dozen of each roach and perch with one eel. Great venue, though I didn't see any carp activity today a friend of mine who is a serious carp fisherman tells me that one of his club members caught a 15 kg common carp in a three day stint. Lilly pads all around the margins looks ideal. I had the wind blowing straight down the valley today, best thing is it is 20 minutes from my house. Makes it all the better seeing a wedge tail eagle and listening to it cry.

So been returning to this venue in an attempt to lure some big roach just to let me know there is some in there. Fished pole at 11 meters small roach and perch. Fished waggler small roach, perch and one eel. Feeder fishing isn't my favourite, one session for three bites. One more attempt, really attacked it size 8 hook and corn on the feeder. Bingo, smallest roach 350 gram biggest 1 kilo. Caught six lost six a terrible snag in this swim, one monster carp gave me the runaround for at least 20 minutes. 3 kilo line and bottom trying to keep it away from the snag before it eventually broke the hook length.
I am now into feeder fishing been sorting out the gear and I am looking forward to another crack, hopefully before Christmas.

Only 4 here transferring from keep net to landing net for the photo lost two.

I got roped in to doing some medieval re-enactment by my brother about 10 years ago, I have to admit I felt like a bit of a prat at first but I got into it as the day went on, it's quite something to recreate a Saxon shield wall and get some insight about how absolutely terrifying battles must have been in those days.

I just told my family i want a wobblygob cider kit from each of them for my birthday thats soon. On offer 3 for 60 quid. How hard can it be.

As my hobby car was written off last year I am probably only going to be doing motorsport marshalling this year, which still leaves the itch to pilot something, so I have decided I am finally learning to fly, which has been an interest for a few years.

I've had a quick go at flying a Cessna before but I have gone instead for a microlight due to slightly lower cost and the sportier handling characteristics due to the light weight of <500kg total weight which includes the two people on board.

This was my first lesson

My 3rd week of cycling in Gran Canaria 🥵
I lived in Gran Canaria for 5 years - amazing island, hope to retire there some day. Its a popular place for cyclists but you must be mad!! some of the roads there are crazy, bet they are fun to come down but on a hot day it must be seriously hard work going up, even if it is a lot cooler in the mountains.
