Hi all , I have a recipe i fancy having a crack at , it calls for 1/2 lb sultanas per gallon.
Looking around and they all seem to have an oil coating.
Any advice/tips on how to deal with this or a source of non oiled ones , even the organic ones seem to be coated.

I don't think you can find unoiled sultanas. Oiling them is part of the production process. One thing to try would be to soak them in some hot water. That should push the oil to the top while the soaked sultanas should, in theory, sink to the bottom.
