Don't you think 40% is a bit of an overkill?

In my opinion, no! But it's all subjective at the end of the day. It would be boring if we all liked the same thing 😁

The first time I had one of those beers I was blown away by how creamy and soft it was. I've been using higher oats ever since. Obvs there us more to a soft body than oat percentage but it doesn't half make a difference!

Is it reminiscent of nitro?

I’m intrigued by it but not sure I’m brave enough to mash 100% malted oats!

Never heard of this, interesting. I had read (I think in the book I mentioned above) about someone proving it could be done as an experiment for one of the brewing journals but I had no idea it qas a legit style. I'd be interested to try it but maybe not brew a whole 19L of it!
