so here's the plan for ag#2 - Im just wondering what folk think, ag#1 went ok but could have been better,
so i want this to be as smooth as it can. I want it to be at least 4.5%abv. Do I have enough grain planned?

3000g golden promise
1000g low colour crystal malt
thinking 90min at 66c
Followed by a combo of magnum (I like a bitter bitter) and marynka hops ( I hear they add good flavour and aroma)
was thinking 25g (aa7%ish) Marynkas as fwh (can i keep these in the bottom of the boiler in a grain bag to whip them out before the boil)
Then 90min with 50g of the magnums (would 60min be enough)?
Last 15min of the boil with another 25g of the marynkas.
At this point would it benefit from being rapidly chilled in the bath? I hear this may improve the final clarity, something about a cold break?
Would appreciate any comments. cheers in advance

My "stock" beers are around 4250gms pale malt and 250gms, which I find is a good malt balance. generally get a og of 1048.

I think you need to use a bit of software to work out you IBU's, BrewMate is a free download and easy to use. Magnum are a clean bittering hop with a high AA% and adding them to your boil at the start will give you a good base bittering, but I think you are overdoing the quantities. I'm not familiar with Marynkas hops but you could add them the last 10mins to get some aroma. If you use some software you can play around with the hop schedule to get whatever IBU and aroma you like, also adding hops after flame out will give you good hop aroma. Good luck
