Ha, not really. I've done lots of all grain & half mash brews over the years, but in low tech kit - a kettle type bucket & large pans. The GF requires me to learn the system, but temperature & timing are much easier now. ThanksWelcome to the forum
Looks like you have jumped in the deep end, I hope you enjoy your new hobby.
I'm waiting on my first brew now, it's at 2ndary fermentation stage. The GF is a whole new system to learn. Then I can adapt it to what works for me. 1st brew went very well, other than a few minor issues that I'll iron out in future brewsHi @Jahfish and welcome.
