Two questions amigos.

Number One.
Anybody recommend a route from Swaffham in Norfolk (feel free with the inbred jokes), to New Forest Area (Southampton). We'll be travelling from mid-morning so I guess we'll hit the M25 just before midday. Should we avoid M25 altogether? Any suggestions.

Number Two.
Any suggestions on what to do once we get there. All suggestions welcome - (already spotted Ringwood Brewery).

Cheers guys

The M25 is no problem - when theres no problems! What junction are you going to join at? The thing is that traffic in the surrounding areas can be much worse than the M25. I have done New Forest - M3 - M25 junction 13 (Staines) in 45 minutes. So when the going is good, its very good!

When you're there - walk in the woods. Lie on the grass. Eat drink and be merry under the sun (if there is any)

Probably join the M25 from the M11. Some people have recommended going across to Oxford and then staright down. Any thoughts?

TBH, I'd stick to the motorway and hope theres no f*ckups.

I once got stuck on the M3 on the way to the New Forest and ended up in a traffic jam in Winchester trying to dodge it. I really dont think it was worth it in the end. Most of the towns on the outside of the M25 are chockers with traffic, 30mph speed limits, speed bumps, cameras and red lights.

Check traffic reports on your phone or radio and play it by ear.

check out the red shoot pub. Has its own micro in the back and a particular good one is muddy boot. It is worth a drive to the beaches out bournmouth way, only 20-30mins too.

And don't forget to visit Bucklers Hard .. .. It's where Henry and Elizabeth's Fleet was built . . . interesting

Try The royal Oak at Fritham, lovely pub, free house. Much of my mispent youth there!
