A couple of weeks off work, a trip to High Wycombe to see bionicmonkey and a lot of head scratching later it was definitely time to upgrade the old plastic buckets and start down the slippery shiny slope...

As I am useless at working with metal it was going to have to be a wooden construction, the benefit of 2 pumps meant I didn't have to go to a tower so sat down with a brewing buddy and we planned what we needed.

A bench for the new boiler and mashtun, a space for the 10 gallon burco we spotted outside a local junkshop for £25, a cupboard that we could fit a tube heater and the ATC-800 up to, built in ventilation, new electrics and a couple of shelves for storage... we also considered plumbing but that maybe the next stage..

We then built it and ended up with something resembling a welsh dresser

Kegged a brew on the weekend - 2 more from the old brewery to get into kegs and bottles this week and then it's time to fire up the new set up. Everything has been tested and works :thumb: , just needs some empty FVs

Cheers. Brewed on it yesterday and was a joy! The cooler takes some persuasion to fit though! hope the fish are coming on nicely !
I have heard Nadine is slow but sheesh... I guess we shall see!

Nadines service has been appalling recently, They have no 70ltr or 80 ltr Thermoboxes in stock and don't say when they will be getting any either. I had a load of pot's damaged and had to return them, one with a pin hole in it. All that has made me give up with them, Once all my orders that are placed or waiting for I shalln't be making any more custom stuff it's not worth the Hassle. Sorry guy's :?

I am sure people will miss your work MD! And thanks BB, I'm sure it will just escalate more, I have most of a RIMS system to finish next, well maybe next!

All these breeding cornies don't fill themselves though.. best plan the next brew!
