Not sure what you're gaining. Sure it's a nicer system and for me the biggest challenge with AIO systems is how well they maintain mash temperature (some are better than others) and how well you can manage and control your sparge (which is a bit trickier and not sure any AIO system is better than any other in this regard). I think if you want to 'upgrade' your kit then be clear in your own mind as to what problem you have with your current system that you're trying to solve. Sure an upgrade for upgrades sake is perfectly fine if you have the budget....nicer kit is nicer to use. But don't necessarily expect a better result at the end unless there is a specfic problem or limitation with your current system that you're trying to solve.

Personally unless there is no specific problem you're trying to solve then you're always better off investing any cash in fermentation (temp control, keeping O2 out etc), or even in PH control (get a decent PH meter) or water chemistry.

But yes it looks like a nice bit of kit....

It was more of a discussion starter, the BM is here to stay for me I think.

The MM might start stocking them but with the weak pound it won’t be cheap.

Well these days there are other options available. As I was hinting to above...the premium units out there are not premium because they work better...far from it, they're premium because of many features that don't impact the performance of the product at all, so just depends what product attributes you place value on...I suspect with this unit SS Brewtech are playing a bit of catch up being late to this particular market segment so their first iteration might not work quite as well and have some teething issues compared the more established players in the market who've been around for many years now with a few evolutions and developments of their products. If the SS Brewtech product doesn't take off and sell well then they may very well pull out in a couple of years rather than sinking more cash into development and cutting pricing to buy market share. So might be a risky purchase from that perspective too.

Well saved. We were off outside, to sort this out with pistols. 😁

Time to trade in..... indeed.

I have a difficult time commenting because I know I expect a lot of my brew robot.

And what is my brewing objective? Fast brew day? Lots of features? Internet connections? Nope EASY to use and saves me time & trouble.

This one doesn't. By quite a distance.

Tbh I don't like the term "All in one". Because I only know of one that actually supports in kettle fermentation (truly all in one)

Unless you are an electrician, who is a power lifter and disagrees with concept of hot side aeration this unit is not for you.

Imo as a "some in one" I think it fits the bill much less that some of it cheaper cousins.

Oh and bleach queens will have a field day with this BRUSHED STEEL inside..
Now I know I have more relaxed attitude to hygiene but just that smacks as a downright blunder. Certainly for me a show stopper.

If you want to spend money, Braumeister was ahead of its time over a decade ago and still is. Now offering a fully chiller integrated, ferment in kettle solution.

No upgrade for me then 🤣🤣🤣

@LeeH cheers for posting this. I always have an upgrade itch too. 👍🏻👍🏻

I liked the look of camurri brauer but couldn't see a price.

Cant see me changing my all in one a modified 70 litre guten. Might tweak it some more. Better the devil you know and I reckon there's a burn risk with 4.6kW

20A will be fine on a domestic ring main provided it has been wired correctly (2.5mm^2). Don't use with an extension lead though.
Rather too many downsides with this otherwise though.

I think it will make the 13A plug top sweat a bit.

I have a 16A socket in the garage for the 50L BM.

Good point. I guess the right thing to do is to hardwire the cable off a fused spur.

Even with my 2700w AIO, I get nervous with the provided euro adapter, being of fairly flimsy build quality.

Fused spur is also 13A MAX. Also there is some regulation inhibiting you from a load that large on a spur from the ring final. But it’s been a while so not sure on the specifics.

16A socket or isolater on a dedicated circuit will be needed.

Here in NZ normal sockets 10A and then laundry has a dedicated 15A socket. Looks similar to the 10A socket but a larger earth blade on the plug so they can only go in 15A sockets.
A 15A socket can take 10A plugs.
The guten comes with a 15A plug to force you to use the correct circuit.
I do keep wondering how to reroute the plumbing on my system to make it like the braumeister.

You could go with a 32 amp commando socket with a dedicated supply or in Spain, I've seen 25 amp sockets and plugs for cookers
