I've got 2 brews on at the moment, 1st is a youngs lager with 1kg muntons beer enhancer. 2nd is a Coopers Australian IPA made with Coopers brew enhancer 2.

I've got enough plastic bottles for one, and a king keg for the other. I was thinking of using the bottles for the Lager (so I can get it properly fizzy). And the keg for the IPA.

I've bottled before, but never used a keg. I've got some coopers beer enhancer 1 to use for secondary fermentation, will this be ok?
When I do keg it I was planning on dissolving the sugar in a small amount of hot water, letting it cool, adding it to the keg, then adding the IPA. Does this sound ok?

Last question.. how much sugar should I use for secondary fermentation of the IPA?

Dissolving is the way to go, but I wouldn't bother with using the enhancer - save it for another brew! Plain old sugar works fine to create the fizz, as it's such a small amount by comparison.

I think you are right though - lager in the bottles, IPA in the keg. I would probably go for somewhere between 80 and 100g of sugar for a lightish carbonation.

Thanks, exactly what I needed to know.

So I'll go with 100 grams of granulated sugar, dissolved in a cup of boiling water. Add this to the keg, followed by the IPA. Leave it for 7 days to ferment, then chill.
