This summer I tried a very exotic one - Miss Quince, brewed by Dogma (Serbian brewery). It has a very gentle fusion of quince and hops aroma - real WOW!
 
I remember some of the early BrewDog stuff making me go wow, just as something that stood out in a sea of bland lager. Elvis Juice can still do that.

Leffe used to do that to me too - one of my first loves but gone off it a bit. Controversially, more recently the Rochefort 10 didn't do that but the 8 did. Westvleteren was a wow moment but I might have been somewhat primed by the hype of the whole situation with that one. Interesting that so many Belgian beers make the list for me and others.

A bit more leftfield, New Holland Brewing's Dragon Milk Bourbon Barrel Stout was a real wow beer for me. All Beer - New Holland Brewing in Holland, MI
 
I think my first pint of chieftain was in Sligo 6 years ago. Loved every drop, I have the glass as well. It's big and heavy
Oh so do I. Mine was the Chieftain Pale Ale in the blackbird then the Red I had in Bundoran and is my goto at Link47...
I was In Silverstreet for my birthday 2 years ago and asked if they would sell me a glass which I was returning. The barman said I've only 6 left which he had in his hand and asked if I would like mine washed and then I clicked as he wished me happy birthday 👍
 
When I was in my early 20’s, and a lager drinker, trying Kronenbourg Blanc for the first time.

Was pleased to see it in a french supermarket on a trip to Disneyland Paris in 2018. Had to get a few bottles, still a nice refreshing drink.

I didn't mind Kronenbourg Blanc, but I've never seen it in France.
 
Vocation (i think!) The Breakfast Club 2.0... blueberry waffle Breakfast stout, good lord, that was a Supper, in more ways than 1!
 
1989 in Reading... Eldridge Pope, Royal Oak, vaguely purplish hue, heavy, sweet. Fantastic winter ale. Brewery sadly closed.

Augustiner Helles, draught, Augustiner Biergarten, Arnulfstrasse, Munich, 1999.

Got the first mass from a new 2000L barrel tapped right in front of me. Freshness literally is everything with this beer.

The tapping is quite a sight actually! Its a two man job. One guy has this huge brass tap and the other bloke swings a sledge hammer at it to punch it into the barrel. There is palpable tension in the air during the process!
 
Thomas Hardy's ale, definitely a sipping beer, intense depth of flavour.
Also Devil's Backbone and Goose Island IPA when both first came out, before they were brewed under license.
 
A few that come to mind. Firstly Vale Gravitas had a pint of it and know this is what I’m going to be drinking the rest of the evening.

Thirst Class Ale Red Velvet Barley wine is another, actually a lot of the beer that really make go wow are barley wines.
