I will admit i am my own worst enemy, in the fact i think every thing is funny i just can't help my self at times, i love banter and that's all it is no offence is ever meant, i need to learn that this forum is not like being at work were you get to know who you can have banter with, i can't believe those 2 little words caused all this

But I would say people who generally do a lot of shouting about stuff whatever it may be,will never be found in a place with sticky floors and worse toilets...

I always wonder why people believe we should like everybody. I don’t. I have a certain type of person that I really detest and will avoid like the plague. In fact I have a few types I avoid. If I’m with people I know I will voice my opinion to them and to be honest I don’t care what others think as I am who I am.
@DocAnna i live in a house filled with women and I respect them exactly like everyone else however there are some types of woman I detest.
I don’t view anyone differently regardless of colour creed gender or sexual identity but some of the people I detest fall into these categories and I detest them none the less.
In saying that I wouldn’t go out of my way to tell them or be ignorant to them.

Need to edit this to point out you are not one of those people I’m referring to

Couldn't have put it better myself. Braverman and Patel are cases in point. Not because of their ethnic origins, not because they're women, not even because they're Tories, but because, for me, they simply drip pure evil.
Don't even get me started on Boris or Chippy will definitely ban me.

We had "diversity training" in work and this chap went on and on until somehow it came round to the Nazis etc. and the swastika.
I pointed out that Hitler didn't invent the swastika but reversed it and used it as he did and that it was used by the Romans and Hindu faiths as a good luck talisman.
He went into complete hissy fit,and absolutely would have none of it!

I think the measure of a man, woman, small furry creature from Alpha Centauri, etc, is how well we manage to tolerate those we despise. More often than not it's our problem anyway. There's nothing intrinsically wrong with eating with your gob open, but it turns my tummy too. On the other hand, we need to know when to let go and lash out at those who would others harm.

I'm quite proud of that. I'm going to write it on one of those flimsy blank pages at the end of the Bible. I think it belongs there. And here's me having a dig at Anna. Shame on both of us.

My mums dad me grandad Tommy had a few choice sayings which would get you tortured these days, i think he must at some point had a bad experience with a red head, in my early childhood i viewed then from a safe distance

I really don’t hate anyone, and find it hard to imagine the feeling of hate. No one is born evil (I’m not Catholic evidently) and people are a complex product of environment, genetics and experiences. It doesn’t mean I like everyone - crikey no, and there are some people I see as irredeemable but hate that’s hard.

As a doctor I’ve needed to help some really really unpleasant people, people who have done things that society find abhorrent - and are perhaps unrepentant, I’ve still treated them like a human being still done the best I could for them. Hate to me is something I equate with wanting someone to be hurt and suffer. I really just can’t do that.

And on that note I’m signing off from this thread, I recognise I’m likely annoying people, so before I wind any of you up anymore I’m going to exit stage left.

No need to Anna, you will not annoy me, the only people i hate in this world are those who hurt children and that covers a broad spectrum from child abuse to governments and what is going on in Ukraine, it breaks my heart to see how some children have to live, i will leave this here but i think you know what i mean
