It's not uncommon to chill overnight, folk say there's little difference in taste.
I've deleted the failed pic posts DHB ;)

Thanks man what do you think of the set up??????

When I first read the thread I thought there were bits missing as the first post looked like an answer, it didn't look like the start of a thread, this may be what you haven't had many responses

Anyway, to answer your question as to my thoughts.

It all looks fine, but you could probably save yourself some kit, and you may want to resize some.

I wouldn't have thought a 20L HLT was big enough, considering you have 27 Litre Mash Tuns and 30 Litre boiler. That to me suggests that you are planning on doing 5 gallon / 23 litre brew lengths, each one requiring about 33 litres of water.

Your second FV is only 23 litres, and according to the diagram you are going to be using that fill a 9 gallon cask, I can't see how 4 - 5 gallons is going to fill a 9 gallon cask.

It looks to me like you plan to do one brew closely behind the other, as you only have the one Boiler, As this is the case you will have one brew mashing whilst the other is boiling. Once your first boil is underway your second mash can be started so you could probably use the same mash tun for the second brew.

I suppose the question that needs to be asked is what are you trying to achieve. Is it that you want to brew 2 different beers in one day, or are you just tring to increase the capacity you have.
What kit do you currently have you are trying to reuse.

Without knowing what you are trying to achieve it's difficult to come up with any real advice about your proposed brewery design.

First off im blending the beers together when i get my 9 gallon cask.

Im trying to get 46L brewed in one day but dont have the money for 70L pots so was trying to do a two mash tun system i should have really wrote 30L HLT opps and not two of them

At the moment i have 30L HLT, 30L boiler, 27L mashtun, 27 and 23L FV

Yes thats my plan to have one boiling whilst one is mashing sort of jobby.

You can quite easily do a double brew day on one set of kit, especially if you are not chilling the beer in the boiler.

The hold up is generally the boiler, as thats where the wort spends most time, so unless you have 2 boilers, or 1 bigger boiler I don't think there is any point doubling up on either the HLT or the Mash Tun.

For Brew 1 the HLT will be in use until you have finished sparging, you ca then refill it and get it ready for brew 2. If you only initially fill it up with enough water for the strike amount (about 10L) for the second brew it will heat up quickly.

Whilst Brew 1 is boiling you will be able to get the mash on for Brew 2 in the same Mash Tun.

Once Brew 1 has finished boiling, transfer it straight to the FV and cool in there.

You can then use the boiler to boil brew 2.

If you are organised this should only add about 1.5 hours to your brew day.

I don't think you really need any more kit to do a double brew day, the only upgrade that will be of benefit would be to go bigger.

thats sounds like you got it sorted. not much els you can do without bigger kit.
you could do with a chiller, do you or your old man know a plumber that could get you a length of copper pipe to make a chiller from maybe?
