as above really i forgot to move my beer from the out side shed over the recent bad weather it is in its preasureised keg but have i messed it up its been in there for about 7 weeks now it is a ipa
and just want to know if i have ruined it
many thanks

If it has fermented before you put it in a pressurised keg it'll be fine have a pint and see if it is ok ;)

cold won't effect it one iota :thumb:

just think of it as chilled and heat it up top a toasty 12c before drinking

I think you'll find that it has very slowly and very pleasantly matured.
It may have a chill haze, but this will clear as it warms through.
Don't give up, homebrewing is very tolerant of cavalier treatment.

i am just coming to the end of my wherry bitter kit at the mo had a coule of small probs but it tastes great so no i wont give up i am learning all the time.
you guys are great and many thanks to all of you for the encouraging words

Had my barrels in garage as usual and its been just under 10C. Definitely loses a bit of flavour but that's normal. Still poured reasonably clear, only very slight haze. Just getting back to right temp.

think someone suggested racking from fv to keg, add the gelatine, leave in a warmer place than the shed, eg inside the house, as the warmer temp will aid the clearing/maturation, then with a week or so before serving move into a colder store to cool and also carbonate to your preference, as the carbonation is aided by the cooler environment but the maturation by the less cold.
I definitely read it, and I'm giving it a go, but then every brew I do is different than last, it's just trial and error, anyone agree with the above ?
cheers

I wouldn't worry about it, I have had 8 kegs in my garage during the big freeze, I left 2 buckets of water in there and they both froze solid, however I have had no problems with any of the beer In the kegs, just a bit cold when you were drinking it.

I just drank my pilsner lager on the coldest days, and it was bloody lovely.

I looked inside and it had ice floating in it so it was well cold.

Just drink it it should be fine.
