I've brewed for quite a number of years now but with work commitments etc increasing, finding time is more problematic.
I usually brew using a converted and insulated Young's fermenter as an hlt, an insulated 60L HDPE bucket with two kettle elements as a boiler and a 'very' insulated Young's fermenter as a mash tun. All very DIY and enjoyable to tinker.
It all works well but I think I would brew more often if I used one of the all in one brewing systems like the Brewster beacon or equivalent.
Has anyone made the move and regretted it or perhaps made the move and wished they'd done it sooner?
I would consider making the all in one much more insulated to save money on electricity, has anyone done this?
