Had to share, I'm a pig in muck...

The beer engine came as an unexpected gift, so I couldn't contain myself and had to tap my cask. This is the very 1st time I've used a pin, and I don't have a clue what I'm doing. The beer is way too green, but still tastes fantastic!

Cheers! :drink:

Oh dear is there something missing off the end of that there beer engine. :hmm: :hmm:

You are far enough away from France to be able to use one on your beer.

No as I said it's a thing of beauty, should stay as it is.

:D It didn't come with a sparkler. Fife is even further north than the North of England, what should I use??? :D

@ Carl_saint - no I won't get through it in a week. In a perfect world, I'd wait for it to be mature. I'd wait until I had some friends around. But I'm just too damn impatient :)

It obviously came from heathens south of Sandbach, so you need to get yourself one pronto I think. And obviously do a few Ale Marys in the meantime

You raise a good point. I'd like to try a sparkler, purely for academic purposes. I'm not from the UK, so have no genetic predisposition either way. But I can't actually figure out what kind of beer engine it is - it has no brand name on it as far as I can see. There is a sticker saying it came from Colin Farrar Brewery Services, so I'm pretty sure it's this one...

Does anyone recognise it? The website sells sparklers by the 10-pack, but I only need one...

edit : and the ale-Marys are well in hand :D

Bleh, bloody sparkler, don't ruin your pint by giving in to the Northern English and their devils piss machine.

I almost spit my coffee out at work reading that and laughing so hard.

:D I didn't paint the ceiling. In fact, venting the cast was disappointingly unspectacular. Never-mind, I'm fooling around with kegs and force carbonation, so the ceiling will get painted sooner or later...
