I am trying to find out what the thread size is on the gas outlet side of the reg, it’s a female threaded connection but can not work out what it is, looking for some help please

CO2? Sounds like it (female on regulator, male on cylinder). Full designation is "DIN 477 / JIS M22-14 / BS 341 No. 8 / W21.8-14 / .860" x 1/14" ... BS341 gives a description of various cylinder threads for different gases (No.8 is CO2). DIN477 does the same. The rest are compatible threads of which you often see "W21.8-14". They are weird sizes, W21.8-14 is typical, an imperial Whitworth thread-form, 21.8mm diameter, and 14 threads per inch. JIS M22-14 is ... you guessed it.
