Hey, I just made a grave error.

I used videne to sanitise everything, including my test jar which upon pouring the sample back into the fermenter I realised I had left 20ml or so of videne 1.25ml/ litre solution in.
Does anyone know if it affect the brew in any way? I'm worried it's going to knacker the yeast up or something.

It might not help the yeast - I've had problems making starters with videne-sanitised vessels before. Of course, that could be down to crap yeast, but the two times I did it with a no-rinsed videne, it didn't work, and the last time when I rinsed with boiled water after sanitisation, it worked fine.

Might have to go for starsan next time, trouble with that is the frigging fancy water you need to buy for it.

Tescos Ashbeck Water 5 litres £1.10...... just add 7.5ml to the 5 litres of water in the bottle and your good to go, I fill a 500ml spray bottle and spray everything with it, lasts for ages.
