Mash Tun is ready!!

Well I've gone and done it...found time to make my mashtun :clap:

I'v used my old 12v fridge out of the truck...it's about 4 years old and the motor was kaput....on it's way out.
After cutting the hole for the tank connector I was pleased to find insulation between the walls..great

I had two kinds of connector's...

Now the one on the left... A 15mm pipe will fit into...were as the one on the right wont.

For now I'm going to use a SS braided hose fitted to a short length of 15mm so that it's a tight fit inside the tun..

All I did with the other end was to fold the braid inside back on itself to close the end.

So now I have my mashtun.

Not quite sure yet....when I get time tomorrow....I'm going to do a bit of a measure on it...I hope it's up around 35/40 L....it's not that small so should be ok for now :pray:

I hope the filtering properties of your SS braid aren't too fine!

That thought has crossed my mind....but it seem's to be an acceptable method...we'll see how good it is :wha: if needs I'll make a 15 mm manifold.

I think your spot on about the mental bit :clap:
