Heard the news yesterday via social media, that he had passed on after a short illness.
Talk Talk still remain on my regular playlist, though not active since 1998 his music is still influencial.
maybe even creating the genre of post rock.
 
That 'Life's What You Make It' brings back memories of tripping our faces off on magic mushrooms in the pool room of a local pub. We put it on the jukebox on repeat. Dunno why, just seemed appropriate somehow as we watched the paint slide off the wall, funny little men with long arms and pointy fingers emerge from the pool table pockets to cut the baize which had turned into a lawn. Etc etc.
