I think Norman Lamb has some interesting ideas regarding the funding of the NHS. I'm not a Lib Dem by any stretch but I'm happy to recognise a glimmer of sense when I see one.

Initially, he says, they want to put a penny in the pound on income tax for everyone to raise about ã6bn a year.
Longer term, Mr Lamb says he would introduce a dedicated health and care tax - a so-called hypothecated tax - which would be designated as such on people's wage slips.
An independent body would decide the level of that tax, he adds, to take "to-ing and fro-ing" politicians out of it.
