Hi Les,
Sounds interesting, how long did it take to grow?
And is it possible to use a smaller font

I have only been a member since May, but the help and advice is really good, plus the humour from some is histericl, welcome.

Sorry i am going a bit deaf in my old age.[hows this]
The centennial hop was supposed to be a fast growing screening plant to fill a gap made by a neighbour. It worked well but i do not want to waste the crop.15 feet of green hops.Any ideas what i can do with them.?I think they will be ripe soon judging by the smell. How do i preserve them?

Welcome to the Forum. :thumb:

The font it HUGE!

You can use the hops as they are or dry them (then pack them in sealed plastic bags and stick them in the freezer).

Apparently, you will need six times the weight of "natural" hops when compared to the amount of "dried" hops; but the usage and boil times remain the same.

Enjoy! :thumb:

PS

At the top of the "Quick Reply" section there are two rectangles for "Fonts" and "Size"

This is Arial and the size is 1 whereas this is size 2 this is size three and this is size four.

Your last reply was on size 6!

Enjoy! :thumb:

(That's size 7.)

I had no idea hops grew at such a rate, but thinking about it I guess they must since they are normally grown on trellis wires. What a great idea for a screening plant......:thumb:

That should be interesting brewing using your own home grown hops.
Have fun
