Mick,

You'll get a more accurate measure of your brew temp if you tape the probe to the side of your FV and insulate it from the ambient temp within the fridge under some bubble-wrap.

Otherwise, congrats on a great new asset to your brewing.

Looks great Mick! I'm still trying to get hold of fridge under £50. Stocks are dropping way too quickly with all these BBQs!

perhaps a fan would also help maintaining a stable temp, i got a pcfan wired to a 12v transformer brick off the mains..

sounds good a pic would be nice ... :thumb: .

bit of a bodge job starting with a bad ebay punt on what i thought was a fosters brand fridge not a branded fosters beer fridge with lager stickers on the sides :)

its a bit tight on space so i mounted the heater tube above the beerlevel to avoid overheating the beer...??? so the extra fan was a bit of a must :)

but it holds a good temp :) and i have taken it down to 0C to crash chill and prep for quick conditioning in a corny..

ps/edit ive only had to change the gaffer tape on the sensor cover the once, it keeps its sticky well in a nice dry cool place..

I may be brewing before September yet .... :)

Also forgot these pics. My humble 4-fridge setup. All temp controlled.

Left to right - Cornies x , ferment x 2, ferment x 2, yeast
